Welcome to Rotary Club of Hout Bay
Committed to Peace & Reconciliation
Rotary Club of Hout Bay is committed to developing its own community and developing the potential of all its citizens. At the same time, the club provides a network of comradeship and fellowship with the world-wide Rotary Community consisting of some 33,000 clubs in over 40 countries. Networking with like-minded peers in all countries is a wonderful opportunity to develop your lifestyle. There are over 1.7 million Rotarians world wide.
Rotary Hout Bay is an evening club and meets every Tuesday, 18h30 for a 19h00 start at the Atlantic Boat Club, Hout Bay Harbour. You are most welcome to join us. Go to the contact page for arranging a visit.
A Place of Beauty
Hout Bay is indeed a beautiful location in Africa, but there is a sad undertone where the need to help is great among many of its communities. The club has many projects mainly dedicated to the betterment of those less fortunate or supporting the wonderful environment in which we live.
This website reflects the daily life of our busy club. It is a particularly active club with our projects reflecting the different Rotary ‘avenues of service’ and the tasks of running the social aspects in which members are fully involved and enjoy.
As a dinner club, you are always welcome to join us for a meal at an affordable cost. After a meeting on Tuesdays, which usually involves a speaker on an interesting subject, you are welcome to join us for fellowship and refreshments in the club lounge which has cash bar facilities at most reasonable prices. Fellowship is an important aspect of Rotary life. All are committed to the Rotary objective of ‘Service above Self’.
